Bill Samuels and New Roosevelt Initiative arrived at a free concert in the Bronx’s beautiful Crotona Park late yesterday afternoon with flyersvoter registration forms, and volunteer sign-up sheets. As singers from the Metropolitan Opera performed arias under the hot summer sun, we spoke with attendees and passer-bys about the upcoming New York State primary elections.  We were happy to explain the many ways that Pedro Espada has neglected his responsibilities to the citizens of the Bronx and the ways that they could help stop the corruption.

Our time spent in Crotona Park was positive and rewarding, as we were able to make direct and personal connections with the people whom we strive to help.
